A: You may submit as many entries however each one must be different.

Does “Cool In You” accept contestants from Canada?
A: Yes “Cool In You” welcomes participants age 13+from across Canada (excluding Quebec).

Do I have to own the copyright to the music that I use in my contest?
A: You do not have to own the copyright to the music that you use, but you must have permission to use the music. For more information, please see our resource page on copyright.

One fundamental rule in all “Cool In You” contests is that contest entries may not contain any images, sounds, music, or other material that you either do not own or do not have permission to use. Although it might sound like severely limiting, this rule is ultimately for your protection. We recommend that you take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the differences between Public Domain, Royalty Free, and Copyrighted materials. You are indeed free to use Copyrighted materials in your contest entries, as long as you have permission from the copyright holder to use them. Because in many cases it may be difficult to obtain this permission, we provide links to a few sites that contain Public Domain and Royalty Free materials on our Useful Links page.

Does my video have to be a certain length?
A: The maximum length a video contest entry is 3 minutes

I want to enter one of my you tube videos in the “Cool In You” Contest, but I don’t have the original video file, is there a way that I can download the file from You Tube?
A: Techcrunch has a YouTube file download tool available at http://www.techcrunch.com/get-youtube-movie/

I just uploaded a video and do not see a thumbnail should I re-upload my entry?
A: It can take up to24 hours for our administrators to approve or decline your submission. You will receive an email either way. If you do not receive an email within the 24 hour period please email support@coolinyou.com

What is “Cool In You” stance on language/violence/mature themes?
A: Tribute and Iskin “Cool In You” maintains a site-wide PG-13 / TV13 standard. If your entry contains language or images that would be considered R rated material, please adjust with bleeps, alternative dialog, or other creative methods prior to entering the contest. Tribute and iSkin reserve the right to disqualify entries that our Contest Officials determine to be in violation of a PG-13 / TV13 rating.

Is there a way to edit or change an existing contest entry?
A: Editing or changing the video content of entries is not allowed. Because Tribute members may have already voted for your existing entry, changing the content of the entry would be unfair. If you like, however, you can unpublish/delete the existing entry and upload a new one by deleting your you tube video on you tube.

How can I draw attention to my entries?
A: Use the sharing links on your contest entry page to recruit votes from friends and acquaintances via social networking sites

What video and audio specifications will give me the best video quality on “Cool In You” web page?
A: We have no particular audio recommendation, but do recommend a video resolution of at least 320x240.

Is it easy to vote on the “Cool In You” contest?
A: Yes it is! Just click the like button it will count as a vote.

Can I vote for my own contest entry?
A: Absolutely!

Can I ask my friends to vote for my contest entry?
A: Actually, that is exactly what we recommend you do! Recruiting votes from your friends, family, and acquaintances is the best way to tip the odds of winning in your favor. Remember sharing on social networking will go far!

Can I set up a multiple email account to vote for myself?
A: No Terms of Service prohibits members from having more than one account. We scan frequently for suspicious accounts and voting activity. If we determine that a “Cool In You” member is in violation of our Terms of Service, we disable all of that member's accounts, reverse all of that member's votes, and permanently ban that member from the ““Cool In You”” community.

How do I create and or edit my profile?
A: Clicking on "enter here" in the “Cool In You” menu will take you to a page that contains links for creating and editing your profile.

What kind of entry is eligible for “Cool In You” contest?
A: All “Cool In You” entries must feature the contestant singing any genre must be submitted your submission may or may not have any background music. Your video needs to show either a video or a photo of you, and your submission must adhere to all the rules and regulations you approve when you first enter. The submission must not exceed 3 minutes in length

I write original music but I don’t sing, can I still enter the “Cool In You” contest?
A: “Cool In You” contest entries must have a vocal component.

What kind of entry is eligible for “Cool In You” contest?
A: All “Cool In You” entries must be vocal performances of songs or of songs that are in the public domain. No copyrighted musical or visual material is allowed. Bands may submit as one entry, but one member of the band must be designated as the leader or spokesperson for legal purposes. from the contest pages.

What kind of photo entry is eligible for “Cool In You” contest?
A: All entries must be original photographs. No copyrighted visual material is allowed

Why is the “Cool In You” Legal Team asking for my ID and my signature?
A: We must verify your identity for legal reasons. If you do not wish to send us your verification materials, we do understand. However, you are not eligible to win cash prizes from Tribute or Iskin unless we verify your identity. You will also be asked to sign a release waiver if you make it to the top 10 finalists

Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of getting into the finals?
A: One thing to think about is how to best utilize your profile and the “““Cool In You”” site” features so that “Cool In You” members can get a sense of the extent and depth of your talents.
